Gain the experience you need to advance your career by putting your skills into practice as part of the Aspirus Health Medical Assistant Intern Program.
Program Information
This paid 10-week program offers flexible scheduling around students’ school schedules and is offered twice annually. This program is designed for students currently enrolled in their 2nd semester of accredited MA program and is available at Aspirus Health WI and Upper Peninsula MI locations.
This program will allow students to gain real-world experience and participate in a variety of clinical settings while building connections with hiring clinics in Aspirus. In addition to working in the clinic, there are virtual education sessions offered to support your development.
May qualify for a sign-on bonus if you accept a part-time to full-time position with Aspirus after the program.
Program Objectives
- Gain experience necessary to advance in the medical assistant career pathway
- Interns are expected to work 1:1 with an experienced clinic team member (MA, RN, and/or Provider)
- Offering opportunities to:
- Enhance patient care skills
- Increase understanding of clinic workflow processes
- Build critical thinking skills
- Build connections with clinics around the Aspirus area
- Shadow into various clinic settings to participate in multiple experiences
