Sports Medicine
Getting back to doing what you love.
Whether you're an elite athlete striving to perform at your highest level or simply looking to move with less pain and enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle, our Sports Medicine & Musculoskeletal Medicine physicians are here to help. You don't have to be a professional athlete to benefit from sports medicine expertise. We care for competitive athletes, recreational athletes, active adults, and people who simply want to stay mobile and continue doing the things they enjoy. Whether your goal is returning to competition, getting back on the bike or trail, working without pain, or staying active with your family, we'll work with you to determine the treatment approach that makes sense for you. We provide comprehensive, non-surgical care for both acute and chronic injuries and conditions affecting the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and spine. We see people of all ages, ranging from young children to older adults.
Through thoughtful evaluation, an accurate diagnosis, and personalized treatment plans, we offer the latest evidence-based care, including fracture care, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided procedures, rehabilitation, orthobiologic treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and other minimally invasive therapies.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
Advanced orthobiologic care close to home.
For athletes and active individuals, persistent joint or tendon pain can interfere with the activities that matter most. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) offers a non-surgical treatment option that uses a concentrated preparation of your own platelets to support the body's natural healing response.
Our Sports Medicine & Musculoskeletal Medicine physicians provide PRP as part of a comprehensive, individualized approach to musculoskeletal care. Every treatment begins with a careful evaluation to determine the source of your symptoms and whether PRP is an appropriate option for your specific condition.
Precision Matters
PRP is not simply an injection. Accurate diagnosis, appropriate patient selection, and precise treatment are essential.
When indicated, PRP procedures are performed using musculoskeletal ultrasound to visualize the injured tissue and guide treatment to the intended location. Your physician will also help develop a recovery and rehabilitation plan designed around your condition and goals.
Conditions We May Treat With PRP
PRP may be considered for selected patients with:
- Tendon conditions, including tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, patellar tendinopathy and Achilles tendinopathy
- Certain hip and gluteal tendon conditions
- Plantar fascia conditions
- Osteoarthritis and joint pain, particularly knee osteoarthritis
- Selected ligament and other musculoskeletal injuries
PRP is not appropriate for every injury or every patient. Recommendations are based on your diagnosis, available medical evidence, previous treatments, activity level, and individual goals.
