Aspirus St. Lukes Institutional Review Board

An Institutional Review Board (IRB) is an administrative committee established to protect the rights, safety, and welfare of human subjects participating in research. Any biomedical or behavioral study involving human participants must be reviewed and approved by an IRB before it can begin. Aspirus St. Luke’s Institutional Review Board reviews studies for conduct at Aspirus St. Luke’s or approves study review by certain qualified outside IRB’s. University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus

The Whiteside Institute for Clinical Research is a collaborative program between Aspirus St. Luke’s and the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus as created by the Muriel Whiteside Revocable Trust. 

University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center

Aspirus St. Luke’s conducts clinical trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) through the Alliance and NRG research groups as an affiliate member through the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center. Clinical Trial Industry Sponsor: Clinical trials being conducted at Aspirus St. Luke’s are carried out as designed and overseen by pharmaceutical industry sponsoring companies.
