Laboratory Services

Laboratory Services

Your provider may order various lab tests to help with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various conditions and diseases.

Aspirus offers not only the collection of specimens at its hospitals and many of its clinic locations, but much of the testing is performed at these locations as well, enabling us to provide lab results as soon as possible. Testing not performed on-site will be sent the same day to our full-service Aspirus Reference Laboratory in Wausau, WI for further processing.

All patients with a valid laboratory order may visit our locations for lab work and specimen drop-off.

Lab Billing

Aspirus accepts most insurance. We recommend that you contact your insurance company to discuss any coverage questions before lab services are delivered. You are responsible for fees not covered by your insurance company.

How to Obtain Lab Results

Once the testing is completed, we will route your results to your doctor. Test results performed by Aspirus Laboratories are available to any clinician with access to our Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system. Results may be faxed upon request.

If you are a MyAspirus user, most results will be available in your MyAspirus portal after testing is completed. Please contact your doctor’s office for questions regarding testing. The Lab staff is not permitted to provide or discuss results with patients.
