Aspirus Plans for Chippewa Falls
Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic to Open September 22
July 9, 2026
Aspirus Health announced on Thursday, July 9 that its new Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic will officially open for patient care on Tuesday, September 22, expanding access to high-quality, compassionate care delivered by experienced providers and clinical teams.
The approximately 35,000-square-foot facility is designed around the needs of patients and families, bringing together hospital, clinic and diagnostic services in one convenient location. Patients will have access to a comprehensive range of care, including:
• Emergency care
• Inpatient hospital care
• Primary care clinic services
• Imaging services (X-ray and CT)
• Laboratory services
• On-site pharmacy
Located on a 22-acre campus in Chippewa Falls, the new hospital and clinic represent a significant investment in patient-centered care for the Chippewa Valley. The facility is designed to support timely evaluation, treatment and follow-up while insuring Aspirus’ high quality and exceptional patient experience.
“This opening is about more than a new building — it is about ensuring patients in Chippewa Falls and surrounding communities have dependable access to excellent care, supported by knowledgeable clinicians and the resources of a strong regional health system,” said Jason Troxell, Northwest WI Division President, Aspirus Health.
The hospital will serve as a critical access point for patients in a region that has experienced increased demand for health care services. It will provide residents with a local option for emergency care, inpatient services, primary care and supporting diagnostic services — helping patients receive the right care at the right time, closer to where they live and work.
Aspirus has been preparing the facility, technology, workflows and care teams to support safe, coordinated and responsive patient care from day one. Construction has progressed steadily, positioning Aspirus to meet its targeted opening timeline while continuing to focus on clinical readiness and the patient experience.
“As we prepare to open our doors, we are energized by the strong interest we’ve seen from talented health care professionals who want to be part of this effort,” said Jason Troxell. “That momentum reflects both the strength of the Aspirus mission and the opportunity to build a team focused on clinical excellence, compassion and service to this community.”
Aspirus leaders say the new hospital and clinic will strengthen the region’s health care infrastructure by improving access to trusted local care, supporting continuity between clinic and hospital services, and giving patients and families confidence that expert help is available close to home when they need it.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house are being planned for the week before the first day of service. Additional information on those activities will be shared at a later date.
To keep the community connected and informed, Aspirus has launched a live construction webcam. The camera offers a real-time view of the project’s progress — from foundation to finish — so you can follow along as we build a modern, patient-centered space designed to meet the region’s growing health care needs.
