Aspirus Langlade Hospital Volunteers

Who can be a volunteer?

Anyone, men or women can be a hospital Volunteer. We are looking for individuals who want to share their unique talents and are interested in sharing their time for a few hours per week or periodically.

To be a Volunteer, you will be asked to:

  • Complete an application
  • Complete confidentiality form
  • Complete lab work requirements
  • Complete an orientation
  • Meet training requirements
  • COVID vaccinated

Volunteer Training

An orientation session is provided for all new volunteers. At the orientation you will learn about the services provided at Aspirus Langlade Hospital, our vision and mission, patients’ rights and the importance of patient confidentiality. You will also be oriented to your specific area where you will be volunteering. Orientation additionally provide safety instructions concerning fire safety, infection control and security measures. Volunteers are considered members of the hospital family and are included in numerous hospital sponsored events, programs and screenings.

Volunteer Opportunities

Adult Day Services

Volunteers may organize recreational activities or assist with the scheduled activities at the center.

Community Health Foundation

The Community Health Foundation needs help on an as-needed basis in their fundraising activities.

Day Surgery/Elevator

A volunteer here directs families to the elevator that leads to the inpatient rooms on the second floor. This volunteer also assists family and patients in the surgical waiting room before and after a medical procedure. The family is comforted leaving this area to get coffee, visit the gift shop or the chapel, knowing a volunteer can come and get them if needed.

Sports Medicine Complex

Volunteers assist the Sports Medicine staff by providing support. They may perform clerical functions. Volunteers welcome and greet Sports Medicine visitors and family, keep the entrance and lobby area neat, attractive, and with adequate supply of Kleenex and hand sanitizer. They are able to take blood pressure via automated cuff.

Pine Meadow & Rosalia Gardens

Volunteers are welcomed to provide recreational activities to residents such as reading, playing cards, or making crafts. Special talents are always welcomed. Volunteers are also needed on the weekends for meal service.

LeRoyer Hospice

Volunteers serve in a wide variety of capacities to help the dying and their families cope with the process. Special training is provided. Volunteers may go into the home of patients and provide companionship. Others do clerical work at the hospital and provide bereavement care.
