STEVENS POINT, Wis. — Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital welcomed State Representative Vincent Miresse on March 23 for a visit highlighting recent investments, technology enhancements, and the hospital’s commitment to delivering high‑quality, accessible care for the region.
"We were pleased to welcome Representative Miresse to Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital to learn about the high-quality care we offer our local community made possible by our dedicated team,” said Carrie Penovich, Aspirus Wisconsin Southeast Division President. “Visits like this give us the opportunity to highlight the compassion and expertise of our staff, and to showcase the ways we are continually improving health services for the community we serve.”
Representative Miresse met with several leaders to learn about Aspirus Health as a system and to discuss key initiatives underway at the Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital. Leaders shared updates on ongoing investments and improvements that support patient care and strengthen local health services.
During the visit, Representative Miresse toured several areas of the hospital, including the new CT suite, the cardiac telemetry space, and the remote telemonitoring station. He expressed interest in how Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital is using technology to enhance patient monitoring, improve diagnostic capabilities, and support timely, coordinated care.
He also joined staff for a Hero Award ceremony recognizing an employee for exceptional service, offering him a firsthand look at the culture of compassion and teamwork that defines the organization.
“Having access to affordable healthcare is a vital component to ensure that communities across Wisconsin have the ability to thrive. As a Wisconsin state legislator, I will continue advocate and fight for every person's fundamental right to affordable healthcare in their backyard,” Representative Miresse said.
