Katie Snipp named Vice President-Chief Nursing Officer for Aspirus Langlade Hospital

Katie Snipp is the new Vice President-Chief Nursing Officer (VP-CNO) for Aspirus Langlade Hospital (ALH) effective May 23, 2022. 

“We are so grateful to have Katie returning to ALH. As an engaged member of our community, her leadership and skill set will be a tremendous asset to both our patients and staff. Katie’s background and expertise make her an excellent nurse executive to continue to lead our quality and patient safety initiatives of Aspirus Health,” said Sherry Bunten, President of ALH. 

Snipp joined Aspirus Langlade Hospital over 16 years ago. She began her career at the hospital as an Intensive Care Unit registered nurse before transitioning into the role of Hospital Supervisor, a position she held for seven years. From 2014-2018, Snipp served as Aspirus Langlade’s Quality Resource Manager where she led the accreditation and readiness program for successful Joint Commission surveys. In 2018, she became a Compliance Auditor with the Aspirus Compliance team. In this role, she worked in collaboration with Aspirus System leaders to develop monitoring guidelines of controlled substances as a method of addressing the opioid epidemic. Snipp also has experiencing working with numerous governmental agencies to prevent, detect and resolve issues with the law.

“I am honored and excited to serve as the new VP-Patient Care Services/CNO,” Snipp said. “As an Antigo community member, I care deeply about Aspirus Langlade Hospital and the Antigo community, and I am dedicated to providing patient-centered care for those we serve. I will work hard to lead nursing with dignity and respect by promoting our mission, vision and values while improving the health care needs of our community.”

Snipp holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bellin College, a Master of Health Administration (MHA) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) in Health Care Law & Health Care Compliance from Loyola University – Chicago School of Law.
