Kathryn Kass, PA-C, Joins Aspirus, Expanding Orthopedic Care in the Keweenaw

Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Clinics proudly welcomes Kathryn Kass, PA-C, MMS, MS to its orthopedic care team. Kass specializes in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and brings more than 15 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, emergency medicine, and family practice to patients throughout the region.

Kass is returning to her orthopedic roots after years of providing comprehensive care across a variety of clinical settings. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients in both outpatient and inpatient environments, with expertise in orthopedic evaluations, perioperative management, joint injections, splinting and casting, and post-operative follow-up care.

Kass earned her Physician Assistant degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She also holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Michigan University. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

“I am excited to return to orthopedic medicine and care for patients in the community I call home,” said Kass. “Helping people regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life is incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to being part of their journey toward recovery.”

Kass brings a strong background in orthopedic medicine. Her expertise includes musculoskeletal evaluations, joint injections, fracture care, splinting and casting, perioperative management, and post-operative follow-up. She is dedicated to helping patients recover from injury, improve mobility, and achieve their health goals.

Offering care in two convenient locations, Aspirus Houghton and Laurium Clinics, the orthopedic team provides a full range of surgical and non-surgical treatment options from diagnosis through recovery.

Outside of work, Kass enjoys hiking, biking and skiing and looks forward to building connections within the local community.
