Dr. Rachel Laszko Receives Aspirus OME Accountability Award

For the 7th year, the Office of Medical Education (OME) is recognizing the collaboration and contributions made by Aspirus Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) as clinical teachers for medical students and advanced practice clinician students. These Physicians and APCs recognize the importance of training up the next generation of medical professionals and embody the Mission, Vision, and Values of Aspirus.
This year’s Accountability Award goes to Dr. Rachel Laszko, a general surgeon with Aspirus Laurium Clinic.
As a clinical teacher, Dr. Laszko demonstrates the ability to make a difference in others’ lives, is a strong advocate for their students, and commits to delivering feedback and ensures knowledge transfer.
One physician assistant student said, “I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Laszko as a PA student in my general surgery rotation. Dr. Laszko took the time to teach me during surgery about how to suture and anatomical structures. I learned so much about preventative screenings and how to optimize a patient for surgery. She is very deserving of any of the awards stated above.”
