Aspirus Iron River Hospital & Clinics is pleased to announce the return of its popular Wisdom & Wellness community education series with a special Breast Cancer Awareness Month presentation, Pink with Purpose, on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Aspirus Iron River Café.
Designed to educate, empower, and support individuals in making informed decisions about their breast health, Pink with Purpose will provide attendees with valuable information about breast cancer awareness, screening recommendations, diagnostic testing, and available support resources.
This free community education event marks the return of the Wisdom & Wellness series, which connects community members with trusted healthcare professionals and practical health information in an inviting, conversational setting.

Durimg the session, attendees will learn about:
- Screening versus diagnostic mammograms
- Signs and symptoms of breast cancer
- What to expect if a breast biopsy is recommended
- Resources and support services available through Aspirus
- The importance of early detection and proactive breast health
The presentation will be led by Alicia Benson, Modality Specialist, who will share insights into breast imaging, screening guidelines, and what patients can expect throughout the diagnostic process.
“Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we have when it comes to breast health,” said Benson. “Understanding when and why screening is needed, recognizing potential warning signs, and knowing what to expect if additional testing is recommended can help reduce fear and empower individuals to take an active role in their health. Our goal is to provide information, answer questions, and help people feel supported every step of the way.”
In addition to the educational presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and connect with healthcare professionals in a welcoming environment. A complimentary salad bar will also be provided.
The Wisdom & Wellness series provides an opportunity for community members to learn from trusted healthcare experts, explore health topics that matter most, and take proactive steps toward improving their overall well-being. Through accessible, community-focused education, the series aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed health decisions.
