The free event, “Bone & Joint Advances in Orthopedic Surgery,” will feature Mark Kelley, MD, FACS, an Orthopedic Surgeon with Aspirus Health, who will share insights into modern treatments designed to help patients move better, reduce pain and return to the activities they enjoy.
The event will take place Tuesday, March 31st at 6:00 p.m. at Aspirus Laurium Clinic, 205 Osceola Street, Laurium. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested.
During the session, Dr. Kelley will discuss advances in orthopedic surgery and treatment options for a range of bone and joint conditions. Topics will include:
- Joint replacement innovations for hips, knees, and shoulders
- Treatment options for arthritis, and chronic joint pain
- Minimally invasive surgical techniques
- What to expect during recovery
- Local recovery resources, including outpatient therapy services and swing bed rehabilitation options that help patients heal close to home
“Orthopedic conditions such as joint pain, arthritis, and injuries can significantly impact a person’s mobility and overall quality of life,” says Kelley. “This presentation is a great opportunity for community members to learn about modern orthopedic treatments and surgical approaches that can help patients recover faster, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy.”
