Aspirus Ontonagon Clinic is encouraging community members to protect themselves and their families this flu season by participating in one of two convenient drive-through flu vaccination clinics scheduled for Thursday, October 8, and Thursday, October 29.
Flu vaccinations will be available for individuals ages 6 months and older. Children under age 18 must have parental consent. All vaccinations will be entered into the Michigan Care Improvement Registry.
Health care experts continue to recommend annual flu vaccination as the best defense against seasonal influenza. Getting vaccinated helps reduce the risk of illness, hospitalization, and the spread of flu within families, workplaces, schools, and the community.
The drive-through community flu vaccination clinics will be held:
Thursday, October 8 and Thursday, October 29
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Aspirus Ontonagon Clinic
601 South 7th Street, Ontonagon
Appointments are recommended and may be scheduled by calling 906.884.8240.
Individuals are asked to bring their insurance card and wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm for vaccination. Most insurance plans cover the flu vaccine with no copay.
If community members are unable to attend the drive-through clinic, flu shot appointments may be scheduled through their local Aspirus clinic.
