Aspirus Northland Orthopedics Welcomes Dr. Jacqueline Van Gheem, Orthopedic Surgeon

RHINELANDER, Wis. – Aspirus Northland Orthopedics proudly welcomes Jacqueline Van Gheem, MD, MS, to its growing orthopedic team located at 444 E. Timber Dr. in Rhinelander. Dr. Van Gheem joins the excellent medical staff, bringing specialized training in orthopedic care to our community. 

Dr. Van Gheem earned her medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport in Louisiana and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. She also earned her Master of Health Sciences from Mississippi College in Clinton, MS.

“It is important to take care of the whole patient and be involved in their care,” stated Dr. Van Gheem. “I do my best to help the patient make the best decision for them through communication and education.”

Dr. Van Gheem has a special interest in fracture management and total joint surgeries. She is dedicated to staying at the forefront of orthopedic medicine, utilizing the latest advancements and techniques to enhance treatment options for her patients.

“I chose medicine because I have a passion for helping others,” she added. “I enjoy learning as much as I can in order to help patients make decisions about their healthcare. Trying to help them be active in their healthcare needs to be able to enjoy a long and healthy life.”

Aspirus Northland Orthopedics treats patients of all ages, from toddlers to older adults, offering advanced diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of bone and joint conditions. Services include both surgical and non-surgical care for issues affecting the ankle, elbow, foot, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, and wrist. The team also provides expert care for osteoarthritis, orthopedic trauma, sports injuries, joint revisions, and complex bone fractures.

Dr. Van Gheem looks forward to partnering with patients in Rhinelander, and surrounding areas, providing the high level of orthopedic care they deserve—right in their own community. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with family, hiking and rescuing dogs.
