Aspirus Iron River Clinic Offers Convenient Walk-In Flu Shot Clinics to Keep Families Healthy This Season

Aspirus Iron River Clinic is helping families stay healthy and prepared for respiratory season by offering walk-in flu shots Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed daily from 12–1 p.m.). No appointment is needed.

Flu vaccinations are available for individuals ages 6 months through adult. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have documented parental consent. All vaccines will be recorded in the Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR). Those attending are asked to bring a copy of their insurance card. Most insurances cover the vaccine with a $0 copay.

As the 2025–26 flu season begins, health experts emphasize the importance of staying up to date on vaccinations—not only to protect individual health but to strengthen the wellness of the entire community. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), vaccines save millions of lives globally every year by training the immune system to recognize and fight serious diseases.

“Aspirus is committed to making preventive care simple and accessible for everyone,” said Tristin Caswell, Manager – Clinics. “Our Walk-In Flu Shot Clinics give families a convenient option to stay protected as respiratory season approaches. By getting vaccinated, you’re not only safeguarding your own health but helping keep our entire community healthier.”

Aspirus nursing staff will be available to administer both required and recommended vaccines and answer questions caregivers may have, ensuring families receive high-quality, personalized care.
