PORTAGE, Wis. – Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital will host a kickoff event on Tuesday, September 22, to celebrate the launch of a new Cancer Support Group designed to provide connection, education, and emotional support for individuals navigating cancer. The event will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Lower Level Conference Room A at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital, Entrance A, located at 2817 New Pinery Road in Portage.
The support group will offer a welcoming space for cancer patients and survivors to share experiences, learn from one another, and explore topics that can help improve quality of life. Light refreshments will be provided during the kickoff event.
“A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and no one should have to face that journey alone,” said Annie Allen, RN, Director of Nursing, Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital. “This support group creates a safe, compassionate space where individuals can connect, learn, and find strength in community.”
All cancer patients and survivors are welcome to attend, regardless of where they receive care. This event is open to all ages and genders.
Aspirus Health’s goal is to ensure individuals have access to supportive resources that address the emotional, social, and educational needs that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.
