Aspirus adds new radiation oncologist to cancer care team

WAUSAU, Wis. – Aspirus Regional Cancer Center is proud to announce the addition of Andrew Jonathan Huang, MD, to their team of cancer treatment experts.

Dr. Huang, a radiation oncologist, explains, “I have a special interest in clinical trials and early adoption of advanced technologies.” He adds, “I strive to partner with my patients to develop personalized cancer treatment plans.”

Huang earned his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, N.C., and completed his Radiation Oncology Residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison.

“As our practice continued to grow, it became imperative to add another care expert to our team,” explains Dr. Christopher Platta, MD, Medical Director – Radiation Oncology. “Dr. Huang’s interest in innovative techniques, clinical trials, and compassionate care made him a natural fit with Aspirus.”

The Aspirus Regional Cancer Center, situated in the center of the Aspirus campus in Wausau, is now home to seven cancer care experts. Their team works collaboratively for the entire spectrum of diagnoses.
