Aspirus Houghton Clinic Pharmacy Drive-Thru, is operational as of Monday, January 12.
This milestone marks a key component of the ongoing $5 million renovation and expansion project at Aspirus Houghton Clinic, designed to enhance efficiency, improve access, and elevate the overall patient experience. The Houghton clinic is the first retail pharmacy in the Aspirus Health system to add this convenient option.
Drive-thru pharmacies have grown increasingly popular nationwide as communities look for safer, quicker, and more convenient ways to access essential healthcare services. With the demands of everyday life - work, school, family responsibilities, and busy schedules, patients are seeking streamlined options that save time and simplify their day. Drive-thru services reduce the need for individuals to leave their vehicles, making prescription pickup easier for people who are immuno-compromised, have mobility challenges, or are caring for young children. By integrating a drive-thru model, Aspirus is aligning with modern pharmacy trends that prioritize patient convenience, efficiency, and improved service flow.

We’re excited to offer an option that truly makes healthcare more accessible for everyone.”
The Drive-Thru Pharmacy provides patients with a convenient and efficient option for prescription pickup, especially during the temporary closure of the pharmacy’s walk-in storefront which will remain under construction for approximately six more weeks. While interior renovations continue, the drive-thru will operate at full capacity to ensure uninterrupted service for community members.
Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Drive-Thru Only: 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM
- Lunch Closure: 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM
- Beginning January: Saturday Drive-Thru Hours from 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Aspirus’ expansion efforts are part of its long-standing commitment to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare in the Upper Peninsula. As the need for local care continues to grow, Aspirus is taking proactive steps to broaden resources and support the long-term health of the region.

Weekday pharmacy hours at the Aspirus Keweenaw Retail Pharmacy will remain unchanged. The only adjustment is to Saturday hours at Aspirus Keweenaw Retail Pharmacy to align with the new Saturday service availability in Houghton. Beginning in January, Saturday pharmacy hours will be Laurium, 8:30 AM–12:00 PM, and Houghton, 1:00 PM–4:30 PM. This coordinated schedule supports continued access to care while expanding weekend convenience for patients across the region.
