A Community Talk on Peripheral Artery Disease (P.A.D.) An evening with Experts in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics are pleased to invite the community to a free, educational health event focused on its new Peripheral Artery Disease (P.A.D.) Rehabilitation Program. This informative session will provide valuable insights into the program.

P.A.D. occurs when the arteries in the legs and other parts of the body narrow, limiting blood flow to the muscles.

The event will take place on October 21 at 5:30 PM at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital, 1400 W Ice Lake Rd, Iron River, MI 49935.

The program will feature Andrew Meverden, Exercise Physiologist, Brian Geshel, Manager – Cardiopulmonary Services and cardiopulmonary staff. These trusted local specialists, with years of experience in cardiopulmonary and peripheral rehabilitation, will offer insights into symptoms, risks, and how to help slow the progression of the disease.

“Peripheral Artery Disease can greatly affect mobility and quality of life, but with tailored exercise and education, we’re helping more people regain independence, improve their health, and slow the progression of the disease,” said Andrew Meverden, Exercise Physiologist.

This event is free of charge, but registration is required. To reserve your spot, please call 906.265.0499. Light refreshments will be provided.

Community members are encouraged to attend whether they are looking to learn more about this rehabilitation program or have questions about specific symptoms. Take charge of your health and gain the knowledge you need to stay proactive about your well-being.
