At Aspirus Medford Hospital, we believe being a health center volunteer is an enjoyable way to make a positive community impact. When you join, you will become part of a team of people devoted to creating a caring environment for patients, families and visitors.

Ways to make a positive difference may include:

• Hospital & Clinics – Provide reception and way-finding services to patients and families; perform service tasks for hospital patients; support patient healing through participation in interdisciplinary teams (i.e. Falls Taskforce); lend retail assistance and serve specialty drinks in modern gift-cafés; gain insights and exposure to physical rehabilitation by lending support to the Therapy & Fitness Center, and more.

• Aspirus Care & Rehab and Country Gardens – Enliven lives! Provide friendship and support to residents through companion visits (one-to-one or small group setting) that may include activities such as: games (playing cards, board games, dominoes, bingo or electronic Wii games), easy arts and crafts activities, hand care (polishing finger nails or light hand massage) and more.
• Community Events – Provide as-needed assistance (greeting, registering, directional guidance, recording of data) during health screening events that Aspirus Medford provides free-of-charge to the communities it serves.
• Other Opportunities – We will try to match your skills and desire to help others with an assignment that supports the staff and patients of Aspirus Medford Hospital & Clinics.

TEENS: Join "Switch’n It UP!"

Thinking about volunteering? Consider participating in the "Switch'n It UP!" program. This short-term volunteer experience is great for beginner volunteers!

Each summer, teen volunteers organize and lead a wildly successful summer arts & science activity program at Aspirus Country Gardens. As a volunteer, you will have opportunity to work with others to plan and carry out fun craft activities over the course of 2-3 weeks. If interested, contact Volunteer Services for more information.
