Fitness Classes

  • Cardio Drumming – This class uses a combination of drumming, rhythm and music to engage the core and increase the heart rate through various movements. Anyone can do it! There is no wrong way to drum!
  • Fit Flexibility  This class consists of energizing sequences designed to lengthen and strengthen the muscles. If you’re looking to increase mobility, build core strength, and improve balance this is the class for you.
  • Fit Mix  Challenge yourself with this high-intensity, total body workout! This class uses a variety of equipment to elevate the heart rate and target all the major muscle groups of the body.
  • Kickboxing – Learn basic boxing and kickboxing moves to work off your stress! All ages and levels are welcome to join. Gloves available if needed. 
  • Pure Strength – Work your muscles in every way possible in this class designed to build strength, add definition, increase bone density, and decrease your body fat by increasing your lean muscle. No muscle gets neglected in this class.
  • Stretch & Tone – Increase your flexibility while focusing on total body movements that isolate and strengthen the core and stabilizing muscles.

You must be signed up for early morning classes by 8 p.m. the night before.

Hope Zander, ACSM-CPT
Fitness Coordinator
Hope is the fitness coordinator and an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer. She earned her Bachelor of Exercise Science through Concordia University, St. Paul. Her interests include functional training, strength training, and sports conditioning. Hope previously competed in the National Physique Committee and looks forward to expanding her knowledge in physique transformation. Her purpose is to promote wellness, help define your goals, and reach your best potential.

Stacy Bussiere

Stacy Bussiere, ACE-CPT
Fitness Supervisor
Stacy is the fitness supervisor and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. She joined the fitness center team in June of 2013. Stacy graduated from NMU with a Bachelor of Science in Management of Health and Fitness. She is passionate about helping people on their journey to a healthy lifestyle. Her goal is to help people build a better body and a better life.
