Aspirus Plans for Chippewa Falls
Major Construction Milestone Achieved for Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic

Aspirus Health is excited to share continued progress on the new Aspirus Chippewa Falls Hospital and Clinic, a vital investment in the future of local health care. Construction crews are hard at work as the new facility begins to take shape, bringing us closer to delivering expanded access to high-quality, compassionate care in the Chippewa Falls community.
The project reached a major construction milestone at the end of February as large, prefabricated sections were lifted into place by crane and set within the building footprint. Work crews installed Emergency Department modules and roof cassettes followed by clinic modules and additional roof components.
About 30 percent of the building was fabricated offsite and is being integrated with traditionally built components. This hybrid modular approach is being led by The Boldt Company as construction manager and onsite lead, with Bildt serving as the industrialized construction partner. HGA is the project architect.
The prefabricated modules arrive complete, unlike the adjacent traditionally constructed portions of the building where framing and drywall work are still underway. Each module is fully painted and includes installed mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, along with casework and select specialty features.
“The arrival and placement of these key components are an exciting milestone for this project,” said Anne Sadowska, Chief Administrative Officer, Aspirus WI Northwest Division. “We know that the greatest possible impact we can make for the Chippewa community is to open this hospital and clinic as soon as possible and restore local access to the vital services we will provide.”
The new hospital and clinic are being built on a 22‑acre greenfield site and is designed to expand access to high‑quality care close to home. Once complete it will offer primary care, emergency services, inpatient care, laboratory services, and imaging.
“By intentionally combining traditional construction with modular and prefabricated components, we’re able to shorten the overall schedule and deliver a high‑quality facility sooner,” said Nathan Ceder, project executive with The Boldt Company.
The approach allows for controlled manufacturing conditions, reduced on‑site congestion, and improved schedule reliability while supporting faster delivery of essential healthcare services.
Construction is anticipated to be completed in September 2026.
To keep the community connected and informed, Aspirus has launched a live construction webcam. The camera offers a real-time view of the project’s progress — from foundation to finish — so you can follow along as we build a modern, patient-centered space designed to meet the region’s growing health care needs.
