PORTAGE, Wis. – Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital is inviting community members to a special educational event presented by Dr. Clint Bonebrake on April 16th, 2026, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. The session will be held at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital, Entrance A, Lower Level, Conference Room A.
Topics include:
- Symptoms of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), emphysema, and asthma
- Early warning signs and the impacts on daily life
- Treatments and options for improving daily life and activities
Many people struggle with shortness of breath, persistent coughing, or chest tightness without realizing these symptoms may signal underlying obstructive lung disease. This session will explore how conditions like asthma and emphysema develop, the early warning signs that often go unnoticed, and the impact they can have on daily life. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of what happens when airflow becomes restricted and how modern diagnostic tools and treatment options can help individuals breathe easier and manage their lung health more confidently.
“Breathing is something we take for granted until it becomes difficult,” said Bonebrake. “My goal is to help people understand what’s happening inside their lungs when conditions like asthma or emphysema take hold, and to show that with the right knowledge and care, we can make breathing feel less like a battle and more like a rhythm of everyday life.”
Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital is committed to support community wellness through accessible education and preventive care opportunities. This event reflects the hospital’s ongoing dedication to helping individuals stay active, informed, and empowered in their health journey.
Community members are encouraged to reserve their spot early due to limited availability. This is a free event and there will be light refreshments provided. RSVP to reserve a door prize.
