The glow of the holidays will shine a little brighter this year as the Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital Auxiliary hosts its 28th Annual Tree of Love Ceremony—a cherished tradition celebrating love, remembrance, and community spirit.
The Tree of Love offers a beautiful way to honor or remember someone special during the holiday season. Community members can purchase a light, bell, angel, or star ornament in tribute to loved ones, with each name displayed year-round on the Tree of Love at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital—a lasting symbol of connection and care.
“Each ornament represents more than a name—it’s a story, a memory, a reminder of love that endures,” said Lori Frantti, President of the Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital Auxiliary. “This event brings our community together in the most meaningful way, surrounding one another with warmth, remembrance, and hope.”
Donation forms are available at all Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Aspirus Laurium Clinic Help Desks, as well as several local businesses. Completed forms may be mailed to: Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital Auxiliary, 205 Osceola St., Laurium, MI 49913 or dropped off at the hospital or clinic help desks.
To be included on the Tree of Love display, please submit donations by November 17, 2025. All proceeds benefit the healing mission of Aspirus.
The Tree of Love Ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 7, at 2 p.m. at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital. This free public celebration will feature holiday music, guest speakers, tree lighting, and refreshments, offering a joyful and reflective start to the season.
“As we gather beneath the glow of the Tree of Love, we’re reminded of the power of compassion and community,” said Jenn Jenich-Laplander, Communications and Engagement Coordinator for Aspirus Health. “The holidays can stir many emotions, but through shared remembrance, we find both comfort and connection.”
