Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Emergency Department Recognized for Excellence in Stroke Care

(Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.)- The Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital Emergency Department was recently honored with the prestigious Partners in Stroke Care Award at the Wisconsin Stroke Coalition (WSC) Spring Meeting and 6th Annual Performance Improvement Awards.

Presented by the American Heart Association, this award recognizes health care teams that demonstrate outstanding collaboration and adherence to research-based standards in the treatment of stroke patients. It highlights the critical importance of a multidisciplinary approach to improving patient outcomes.

The Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Emergency Department earned this recognition for its exceptional coordination with the Wisconsin Rapids Fire Department throughout 2024. Their joint efforts have enhanced the identification, transport, and immediate care of stroke patients, leading to faster treatment times and better overall outcomes.
