Aspirus welcomes women’s pelvic health specialist Erin, McIntyre, DPT

Aspirus proudly welcomes women’s pelvic health specialist Erin McIntyre, DPT to its growing outpatient therapies team. Dr. McIntyre specializes in comprehensive treatment pathways for women of all ages close to home. She is now accepting patients at Aspirus Houghton Clinic in Houghton.

A physical therapist for eight years, Dr. McIntyre graduated from L’Anse High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Grand Valley State University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University in New York City. She recently moved back to the Keweenaw and is thrilled to be here caring for people with the most individualized and compassionate ways possible.

 Dr. McIntyre specializes in pre- and post-natal care, pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapses. She provides exercise instruction for diastasis recti – an abdominal condition that commonly occurs during and after pregnancy, and also specializes in the treatment of urinary incontinence in males and females.

 Dr. McIntyre is passionate about helping women get back to feeling normal and enjoying life to the fullest.

 “It’s incredibly fulfilling to be back here caring for women who are oftentimes dealing with some very sensitive concerns,” Dr. McIntyre said. “I take a very personalized and compassionate approach for the best outcomes.”

 Dr. McIntyre resides in L’Anse. Her interests include spending time with her family, yoga, mindfulness practice, hiking and rock climbing.
