The balance between civilian life and military life can be difficult to manage and that’s why support from a service member’s employer makes a huge difference.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense (DoD), honored Aspirus and Hospital Clinical Resources Manager Pamela Krueger with the Patriot Award on August 12, 2021.

Scott Legwold, Chairman of the Wisconsin Committee ESGR, presented Krueger with the award at Aspirus Wausau Hospital (AWH).

The award publicly recognizes organizations and individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees.

Krueger was nominated by AWH Hospital Supervisor Seth Dahlke who serves in the Wisconsin Air Force National Guard. He specifically called out Krueger for always supporting his military career needs as well as taking a genuine interest in his military accomplishments and communicating them to Aspirus staff.

According to Scott Legwold, “The National Guard and Reserve Forces are the cornerstone of our national defense. Pamela Krueger has provided outstanding support and cooperation and has exhibited a patriotic spirit which is reflected in the significance of being a recipient of the Patriot Award.”
1.3 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions that require extraordinary actions on the part of everyday citizens
