Aspirus Health Recognized by GHX as 2021 “Best 50” Health Care Provider for Supply Chain Excellence

Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) annually recognizes organizations with performance measurements in the top 50 throughout North America with the GHX “Best 50” Award.

Aspirus Health was once again one of the top organizations according to GHX. This is the 5th consecutive year Aspirus Health has received this award ending 2021 ranked seven out of over 4,100 hospitals.

For the past 14 years, GHX’s annual award spotlights the top North American hospitals and health systems based on their proven ability to improve operational performance while driving down costs through supply chain automation.

“I am very proud of my team for continuing to perform at a high level for our organization and the communities we serve,” says Aspirus Health Vice President & Chief Supply Chain Officer Gary Rakes. “The past two years have been challenging with continued COVID pandemic operations and the integration of seven new hospital and 21 clinics. My team has stepped up to the plate and delivered, demonstrating and living our motto of ‘filling the hands that heal’.”

Honorees are selected from a pool of more than 4,100 provider organizations connected to the GHX digital trading platform that score highest in areas such as maximizing document automation, Exchange utilization and trading partner connections during 2021. The recipients will be recognized during an awards ceremony at the GHX Summit 22 on May 11.

The GHX Best 50 honorees have once again proven that by tapping into the expertise of supply chain teams, delivering outstanding care at lower costs is possible,” said Bruce Johnson, president and CEO, GHX. “Even as COVID-19 continues to create a challenging environment for healthcare providers, organizations like Aspirus Health have created greater efficiencies and eliminated waste, ultimately helping to deliver more value for patients.”
