Aspirus Divine Savior Medical Staff Award Scholarships to Portage Area Students

(PORTAGE, Wis.) - The Medical Staff of Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital and Clinic proudly announced the recipients of its annual student scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from area high schools.
The Medical Staff scholarships are granted to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, strong community involvement, and a clear commitment to pursuing careers in healthcare.
This year’s recipients include Kayla Buzzell from Pardeeville High School, who will attend the University of South Florida to pursue a degree in pre-professional sciences with plans to enter the medical field.
Olivia Goldthorpe of Portage High School will study Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, aiming for a future in healthcare. Fellow Portage High School student Jillian Maas will attend the University of Iowa to major in Microbiology on a pre-med track.
Giovani Rivas Alcantara, from Wisconsin Dells High School, will be enrolling at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences through St. Mary’s University to begin his healthcare studies.
Dr. Joseph Mueller, Orthopedic Surgeon at Aspirus Divine Savior, presented the awards and emphasized the importance of supporting local students who are passionate about healthcare. “We are honored to support these exceptional young individuals,” said Mueller. “Their dedication and passion for healthcare inspire us, and we look forward to the impact they will make in the years to come.”
The medical staff at Aspirus Divine Savior have been awarding scholarships to high school seniors interested in healthcare career for 25 years.
