Aspirus expands services with new speech therapist

Aspirus Health is pleased to welcome Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Terry Anderson to its excellent outpatient therapies team. She is now seeing patients at Aspirus Outpatient Therapies in Iron River and Ironwood.

Anderson specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders. She works with patients of all ages, including those affected by stroke, head injury, neurological disorders and cancer. She also cares for children from birth and up who experience difficulties with fluency, voice, expressing or understanding language, feeding, swallowing or social communication.

Prior to joining Aspirus, Anderson spent 11 years as a speech-language pathologist for the Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District and the Menominee County Intermediate School District. She also has nine years of experience providing speech-language pathology services in home health, outpatient, inpatient and rehab center care settings throughout Michigan and Wisconsin.

Anderson earned her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is trained in pragmatic language teaching for students with autism spectrum disorders and in VitalStim technology to address swallowing issues.

She resides near Bruce Crossing and her hobbies include snowmobiling, riding ATVs, reading, gardening and fishing.
