Aspirus At Home expands hospice care in Iron County

Aspirus At Home has expanded services in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (U.P.) to give residents of Iron County and surrounding area greater local access to hospice care.

The service expansion adds hospice care and grief support to the wide range of offerings already provided by Aspirus At Home in the U.P. to meet the needs of patients wherever they are in their health care journey.

“Expanding our hospice and palliative care programs to Iron County is part of our commitment to providing high quality care and a vital service to our rural communities,” said Tom Kaster, Interim Vice President of Post-Acute Care for Aspirus Health. “Aspirus At Home has one of the best programs serving Michigan and Wisconsin.”

Aspirus At Home now offers home care and hospice across the Upper Peninsula in and around the following areas:

  • Baraga
  • Hancock
  • Houghton
  • Ironwood
  • Keweenaw
  • Laurium
  • Ontonagon
  • Gogebic

Future plans for Aspirus At Home include the addition of home care and hospice services in parts of Dickinson and Marquette County.
