Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital - Urgent Care
Urgent Care
When you need care—fast.
Injuries and illnesses don’t always happen on schedule. When you can’t see your regular provider and your condition isn’t life-threatening, Urgent Care offers a convenient, walk-in option for timely, high-quality care—no appointment needed.
What is Urgent Care?
Urgent Care provides same-day medical attention for conditions that need to be addressed promptly but aren’t severe enough to require an Emergency Room visit.
Our team includes experienced physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, supported by medical assistants, lab and radiology technicians, and more—so you get the care you need, when you need it.
Conditions Commonly Treated at Urgent Care:
- Minor sprains, strains, and fractures
- Cold and flu symptoms
- Sore throat, earaches, and sinus infections
- Minor cuts, burns, or skin rashes
Urinary tract infections
- Pink eye and other minor eye irritations
- Mild asthma symptoms
- Nausea, vomiting, or mild dehydration
We also offer basic lab tests, X-rays, and minor procedures to help diagnose and treat your condition efficiently.
Why Choose Urgent Care?
- Convenient access – Walk in or check wait times online
- Shorter wait times – Often faster than the ER
- Lower costs – Typically lower co-pays than Emergency Room visits
- Comprehensive services – Evaluation, testing, and treatment in one visit
When to Go to the Emergency Room
Urgent Care is not designed for life-threatening emergencies. For serious conditions, head to the nearest Emergency Room or call 911 immediately. These include:
- Chest pain or signs of a heart attack
- Symptoms of a stroke (sudden numbness, slurred speech, facial droop)
- Serious head injuries or trauma
- Severe difficulty breathing
- Heavy bleeding or major fractures
Your health matters—every day.
Whether it's a weekend fever, a weekday sprain, or something in between, our Urgent Care team is here to help you feel better, faster.
