Aspirus Portage Child Care Center

Thank you for your interest in Aspirus Divine Savior Child Care services. We are excited to bring a new child care service to the community, where our mission is to:

  • Empower children, promote individuality, and develop strong partnerships with families while creating an environment that helps young children attain physical, cognitive, social, and emotional achievements, preparing them for the next step in life.
  • Recognize the importance of play in the learning process for young children. Play is the basis for learning in our programs. We aim to provide a full, stimulating, developmentally appropriate environment which encompasses the many learning styles of young children. The environment allows for c-children to develop and master skills at their own pace.
  • Support Aspirus' values
  • Work collaboratively with families to promote each child's success
  • Partnerships between families and Divine Savior Healthcare Child Care Center are essential to the growth and development of the individual child. We strive to create and promote these strong partnerships with families and create a sense of community.

Classroom Environments and Curriculum

Aspirus Divine Savior Child Care will use Creative Curriculum and Assessment Tools. This curriculum will be used to teach, evaluate and assist in establishing successful learning. The environment is a foundation of the early childhood curriculum. Each classroom environment is aesthetically pleasing and rich in opportunities for children to notice, wonder, explore and discover.

When developing a room layout, teachers think about the fixed features in the room (i.e. windows, sinks, electric outlets, bathrooms, etc.), what is going to take place in each area, and how the “flow” of traffic will affect the program and children. A good strategy for room layout is to arrange the room into a messy zone, an active zone, and a quiet zone.

Classrooms

Aspirus Divine Savior will have 3 licensed classrooms.  The infant room, toddler room and preschool room.  Age ranges for these classrooms will be based on enrollment.

Tuition

The biweekly tuition is determined from the rate sheet based on the child's classroom and enrollment schedule. Families will be asked to sign a contract with planned schedule for attendance. Registration packets are available upon request from the Child Care Center Coordinator.
