At Aspirus Ironwood Hospital - Birthing Center, we prioritize the well-being of expectant families and their newborns. Complimentary prenatal education classes are provided to patients planning to deliver at our hospital. This unit is specially designed with secured doors to ensure the safety of infants.
Recliners are in the postpartum rooms so fathers can stay with the mothers. A family waiting room is conveniently located next to the nursery and patient rooms.
Consults are always available through our partner, Aspirus Wausau Hospital, for high-risk mothers and babies. When necessary, the Aspirus Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that the area’s newborns continue to receive the best care possible. We offer transportation via MedEvac for emergent situations via helicopter.
