About this Location
Aspirus Diabetes Education Center & Nutrition Counseling is located on the second floor of Aspirus Wausau Hosptial. Patients and visitors should use Hospital Entrance A.
Our program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association for outpatient services for adults with Type I, Type II and Gestational diabetes.
Type I, Type II, and gestational diabetes patients receive individualized self-management education coordinated by a multi-disciplinary team of Certified Diabetes Educators, Registered Dietitians, and Registered Nurses. Physician referral is required.
Diabetes Education Program
A referral is required for this program. After you are referred by your provider, your first appointment with a diabetes educator will be to determine your immediate needs for instruction on home glucose monitoring, medication, etc. You may then be scheduled for follow-up visits and an annual visit.
