The Community Blood Center will host a Blood Drive at Aspirus Medford Hospital and Clinics on Thursday, October 22, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The blood supply is now at CODE RED levels. Right now, at least six local hospital patients are receiving large amounts of blood during emergencies. Multiple blood types are dropping lower than just 2-3 days on hand. We need to be at a 5-day supply to meet routine needs of local patients AND emergencies. All blood types are needed; donors scheduling and donating over the next few weeks are critical to bring levels back to normal!
There is a need for all type O, A negative, B negative currently but every blood type is essential.
The Blood Drive will be held in the Community Education Room.
