Aspirus Ontonagon named ‘Top Performer’ by PRC

Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital has been named a Top Performer by industry leading research-marketing firm, Professional Research Consultants (PRC). In addition to Top Performer, PRC awarded Aspirus Ontonagon with several Five-Star Excellence Awards for quality and patient satisfaction. The awards are based on scores Aspirus Ontonagon received on their patient satisfaction survey, H-CHAHPS, and were presented to leadership at the PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference in Miami, Fla., May 18-20.

Top Performer Awards are presented to each healthcare facility, healthcare provider, outpatient service line, or inpatient unit that ranks highest among all others within PRC’s national patient satisfaction database for the prior year. Aspirus Ontonagon received a Top Performer Award for scoring the highest on the survey question related to Responsiveness of Staff.

Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital received the following Five-Star Excellence Awards for the 2015 calendar year:

• Communication with Doctors – Inpatient Services
• Communication with Nurses – Inpatient Services
• Hospital Environment – Inpatient Services
• Pain Management – Inpatient Services

Aspirus earned five-star awards for ranking in the top 10 percent of PRC’s 2015 database of national healthcare organizations. In addition to Aspirus Ontonagon, Aspirus Keweenaw and Aspirus Iron River hospitals received Excellence in Healthcare Awards.

PRC’s annual Excellence in Healthcare Awards recognizes hospitals rated at the top of the industry. Ratings are based on H-CAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) scores. The H-CAHPS government quality rating system is shared publicly at hospitalcompare.gov. The data was collected by PRC through phone interviews with patients following their care at Aspirus.
