Aspirus Elcho Clinic Welcomes Nurse Practitioner Michael Darr

ELCHO, Wis. – Aspirus Health is pleased to welcome Michael Darr, APNP, to the care team at Aspirus Elcho Clinic, where he will provide primary care services to patients age 16 and older. Darr is now seeing patients at Aspirus Elcho Clinic, W10618 Clinic Street.

Darr is a patient-focused advanced practice nurse practitioner who delivers holistic, compassionate care to diverse populations. He works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and has extensive experience managing complex patients with a wide range of chronic and acute conditions.

Michael Darr earned his Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Herzing University in Menomonee Falls. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Northcentral Technical College in Wausau.

“I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with my patients and empowering them to take an active role in their health,” said Darr. “I’m excited to join the Aspirus Elcho Clinic team and to provide high-quality, personalized care to the community.”

Before joining Aspirus, Darr served as a nurse practitioner in internal medicine in Wausau, where he cared for adults with multiple chronic conditions, provided wellness and acute care visits, and promoted preventive health. His background also includes extensive nursing experience at Aspirus Antigo Clinic, Aspirus Langlade Hospital, and Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston, where he worked in settings including phone triage, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and intensive care.

Darr is board certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber through the Wisconsin State Board of Nursing and maintains Basic Life Support certification.

Working in close partnership with Dr. Lakshmi Deep, Darr helps provide patients with coordinated and comprehensive care. Through this collaborative, team-based approach, patients benefit from timely access to a wide range of services, clear communication among their care team, and personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs. This seamless coordination helps ensure consistent, high-quality care and an enhanced patient experience.
