In honor of National
Women’s Health Week, recognized May 11-17, Aspirus Health is proud to shine a
spotlight on the exceptional caregivers at the Aspirus Stevens Point Birthing
Center — where supporting women’s health is more than a mission; it is a shared
commitment.
Lora Harris, a
Lactation Consultant at Aspirus, embodies the Birthing Center’s culture and
their commitment to new moms.
“When a baby is
born, there are so many emotions and changes,” Harris says. “It’s essential to
support each part of that experience. Our team is highly experienced, deeply
compassionate, and genuinely excited to care for every patient who walks
through our doors.” She adds, “We’re closely bonded, and we’re incredibly
supportive of any questions parents may have.”
To empower
mothers-to-be as they prepare for childbirth and infancy, Aspirus Stevens Point
Hospital offers a full spectrum of prenatal and postnatal services, including
educational classes, postpartum support, and Pregnancy Expos that connect
expecting families with local resources, expert guidance, and a welcoming
community.
“We also work
closely with public health nurses and connect families with the Women, Infants
and Children (WIC) Program, so they have continued support even after they
leave our care,” Harris explained.
“We’re a passionate,
caring community that truly celebrates every new life—and the strong women
behind it,” said Harris.
