Aspirus Medford Foundation Quarterly Giving Update

This past quarter, donor gifts allowed the Aspirus Medford Foundation to purchase the following items to enhance and strengthen the quality of care at Aspirus Medford Hospital & Clinics. Thank you, donors, for your generosity.
The Echo v2.0 Blood Bank Analyzer & Interface is an automated lab analysis system used for blood typing, transfusion compatibility, and antibody detection. Once converted, the lab at Aspirus Medford Hospital will benefit from better efficiencies and productivity.

Currently, the Med/Surg Intensive Care Unit (ICU) consists of three rooms.  Two are hard-wired for collaboration with the University of Wisconsin eICU service.  To manage the increasing number of ICU patients, an additional eICU room is necessary.  For FY23, an 18% increase in ICU days is budgeted (up from 150 days in FY19 to 317 days in FY23).

State of the art MAC 2000 EKG/ECG Machines are being purchased for the Gilman, Phillips and Prentice Clinics.  The new machines are essential to patient care, providing an accurate diagnosis, efficiently and securely.
