Aspirus Light the Night proceeds benefit 31 Backpacks’ childhood hunger efforts

The Aspirus Keweenaw Women’s Health Team proudly contributed $1,200 to 31 Backpacks, Inc., during a check presentation at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium on Tuesday morning. The 31 Backpacks organization works with local schools to combat childhood hunger by sending nutritious foods home in backpacks every Friday and on school breaks for eligible children. The funds were raised during the fourth annual Aspirus Keweenaw Light the Night Fun Run/Walk in September.
