Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital Honors Volunteers for National Volunteer Month

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital honored its dedicated volunteers on April 22nd for National Volunteer Month with a lively appreciation event featuring food, entertainment, and heartfelt recognition from hospital leadership.
Volunteers enjoyed a festive pizza party complete with a special performance by entertainer Derrick Dupler and his talented poodles, whose act brought laughter and energy to the celebration.
Hospital leaders also joined the event to personally thank volunteers for their service. Carrie Penovich, Aspirus Wisconsin Southeast Division President, shared remarks recognizing the essential role volunteers play in supporting patients, families, and staff. She was joined by Beth Sekerka, Chief Nursing Officer; Kari Gattung, Chief Administrative Officer; and Heidi Kraege, the hospital’s new Manager of Patient Experience.
The gathering served as a meaningful moment to celebrate the compassion, time, and commitment volunteers bring to Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital.
