Aspirus Langlade to Host Annual Memorial Walkway Observance
(Antigo, WI) – In observance of Memorial Day, Aspirus Langlade Hospital will hold its annual LeRoyer Memorial Walkway Ceremony in remembrance of those who have fought and died for our freedom.
A short ceremony will be held on Friday, May 23 at 1 p.m. on the LeRoyer Memorial Walkway Gazebo which is located on the north side of the hospital campus. In the event of inclement weather, the event will move indoors to the Demulling-A Conference Room.
“We would welcome anyone to participate in this event designed to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice,” said Raymond Weiss, Manager – Senior Care Services & Mission Integration at Aspirus Langlade. “Over the Memorial Day weekend, we would invite the community to drop off a red geranium plant in the walkway gazebo to remember their loved ones.”
Weiss says the plants will be planted in the geranium flower bed.
Those planning on attending the event are asked to please park in parking lot A, on the south side of the Hospital off Langlade Road or the ball field parking lot off Second Avenue. Participants are encouraged to bring a chair if needed.
The LeRoyer Memorial Walkway is located on the northern most boundaries of the Aspirus Langlade Hospital grounds. Situated between the shores of Antigo Lake and Langlade Road. The walkway emerges as an artful vision of nature at its fullest.
