STEVENS POINT, Wis. - Aspirus Health is proud to welcome Dr. Taylor Mae Fillar, DPM, to its growing team of specialists at Aspirus Podiatry Associates, located at 5409 Vern Holmes Drive, Stevens Point.
Fillar is a board-qualified foot and ankle surgeon with advanced training in surgical techniques and a deep commitment to personalized, compassionate care. Her arrival brings expanded expertise in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage to the Stevens Point community.
Originally from southwest Michigan, Fillar began her journey toward medicine at Michigan State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She went on to receive her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University in Iowa.
Fillar completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as Chief Resident. Her training at a Level I trauma teaching hospital equipped her to manage complex foot and ankle conditions including trauma, flatfoot correction, arthroscopy, and total ankle replacement.
“My philosophy of care is rooted in a commitment to providing personalized, compassionate treatment for every patient,” said Fillar. “With extensive training across a broad spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, I strive to restore function and relieve pain through reconstructive procedures, diabetic limb salvage and education, and elective surgeries tailored to each individual’s needs.”

As an avid marathon runner, Fillar’s personal experience with foot and ankle injuries inspired her path into podiatry. Outside of work, she enjoys running, cycling, weightlifting, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, traveling, reading, and collecting vinyl records.
