Sorority Fundraiser Helps Area Cancer Patients

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Area cancer patients are being helped, thanks to the members of the Lambda Master Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

The organization recently donated $725 to Aspirus Riverview Foundation’s Cancer Patient Fund. The group raised the money by hosting a “quarter auction” at the Nekoosa Community Center. This annual fundraiser includes booths from local vendors, fun auctioning of items donated by the vendors, raffle baskets, and lunch. Open to all women, Beta Sigma Phi is an international service, cultural and social organization.

Aspirus Riverview Foundation’s Cancer Patient Fund helps patients of Aspirus Cancer Care-Wisconsin Rapids with costs related to their treatment for which there are no other resources available. Typical examples include nutrition supplements, transportation to appointments, Home Delivered Meals, grocery cards, utility and rent assistance, and more.

Aspirus Riverview Foundation supports community-based efforts that align with improving the community's greatest health and wellness needs. To learn more about the foundation, visit aspirus.org/aspirus-riverview-foundation.
