Aspirus Medford Surgical Nurse Honored for Highest Certification Test Score in Country

Aspirus Medford Hospital Surgical Services Registered Nurse Lacey Liske was recently recognized for achieving the highest Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification test score in 2023 from the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).

Liske was honored during the AORN Global Surgical Conference and Expo in Nashville, Tennessee, March 9-12, 2024.

The Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR®) credential is the only accredited certification for perioperative registered nurses. CNOR certification assesses the knowledge and skills of a perioperative nurse with a minimum of two years of clinical practice.

Held by more than 40,000 nurses internationally, earning the CNOR is a mark of distinction and demonstrates a commitment to upholding the highest standards in patient safety. In 2023, nearly 3,500 Perioperative Nurses were tested as part of the process with Liske achieving the top score among all candidates.

“Lacey is an amazing nurse who goes above and beyond to ensure her patients receive the best care possible and puts her best foot forward every day she is at work,” said Susan Moretz, Manager of Surgical Services at Aspirus Medford Hospital. “The certification exam is rigorous and extensive and speaks to the wealth of experience and expertise Lacey brings to our team at Aspirus Medford.”

Liske has been employed with Aspirus Medford Hospital for 15 years, she is the second registered nurse in surgical services at Aspirus Medford Hospital to earn CNOR certification.
