Foundation Allocation Grants

Hospital foundations like ours are finding their role increasingly important as the landscape of health care continues to evolve. The mission of the Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital Foundation is to develop, manage and grant charitable support to meet the health care needs of the community. To support this mission, the Foundation hosts a competitive grant cycle twice a year.

Priorities

The Foundation supports programs and services offered both in our hospitals and clinics, as well as health care needs in the Portage County community. We do not offer financial support to individuals, sponsorships, special events, sporting events, or contributions to annual fund drives, endowment funds, or capital campaigns.

Deadline for Application

  • Applications are due the 1st of: October and April. Note: applications will not be accepted after this deadline
  • All applications must be typed, using the Allocations template provided (see below). No hand-written applications will be accepted by the review committee
  • All applications must be emailed to Hillary Shroda

The Board Allocations Committee reserves the right to request an in-person presentation. If deemed necessary, applicants would be notified by the Foundation one week prior to the October or April Allocations Committee meeting.

Applicants will be expected to attend and have up to 20 minutes reserved in which to provide information on their grant submission and answer questions from the Committee.

Notification

Applicants are contacted approximately six weeks after the deadline.  When final approval is given from the Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, recipients are notified of approval or denial of their grant request.  Recipients of grant dollars have one year to utilize the funds, unless other alternative arrangements have been agreed by the grantor and grantee.
