Target Supports Hospital’s “Kindness Closet”

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Some Aspirus Riverview Hospital emergency room patients are being helped through a generous donation by Target in Stevens Point.

The store recently donated Target gift cards to be used to purchase clothing for Aspirus Riverview’s “Kindness Closet.”

The “Kindness Closet” helps ensure patients’ comfort and dignity during visits to the hospital’s emergency room. The closet consists of new, loose-fitting clothing that a patient’s care team can use to replace any clothes that get soiled and/or need to be cut off while the patient is receiving care.

Over time, the “Kindness Closet” had run low on pants and shorts. Using the Target gift cards, Aspirus Riverview Foundation purchased more than 25 pairs of pants and shorts to help restock the closet. Through its donation to Aspirus Riverview Foundation, Target’s generosity is making a meaningful difference in the lives of local patients.
