New board directors join Aspirus Medford Foundation

Aspirus Medford Foundation new board directors

The Aspirus Medford Foundation welcomed six directors to its board: Brent Arndt, Jill Dassow, Jane DeStaercke, Kaci Klemm, Joe Mitchell and Cheryl Steliga. 

“We are fortunate to have these individuals join our board,” said Randy Juedes, Aspirus Medford Foundation chair. “They are qualified, well-respected members of our community. We look forward to working with them, utilizing their skills, knowledge and commitment to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.”

Brent Arndt is a retail manager with Time Federal Savings Bank. Brent is looking forward to being part of the board and applauds its dedication to giving back. He and his wife Jennifer delivered all of their children at the Aspirus Birthing Center – Medford and are thankful for the experience.

Jill Dassow is a corporate benefits manager at Weather Shield. Jill believes having an outstanding health care system in our community is vital to attracting and retaining employees and their families. Jill and her husband Bruce are lifelong residents of the area, raising a son and recently welcoming a grandchild.

Jane DeStaercke is a retired high school English teacher. Jane welcomes the opportunity to represent and serve western Taylor County as a Foundation board director. Jane is a member of the Gilman Lioness Club and is village president. Jane enjoys reading and is a hospice volunteer.

Kaci Klemm is the patient experience manager with Aspirus Medford Hospital & Clinics. Her background in patient access, care and experience will be an asset in her new role as a Foundation board director. Kaci and her husband Nick have two children and enjoy family time, volleyball and outdoor activities.

Joe Mitchell is CEO of Farmers Union Co-op Transport in Stetsonville. Joe is interested in being part of an organization that strives to continuously improve patient care. Joe and his wife Shayla have three children and enjoy family time, golf, fishing and boating. Joe is an active member of several local boards. 

Cheryl Steliga is retired from BW Papersystems in Phillips, Wis., where she was director of Culture and People Development. Cheryl is honored to join the board and is proud to be part of an organization that strives to build healthy communities and families. Cheryl is a dedicated and hard-working member of the Aspirus Volunteers – Medford. Cheryl and her husband Marvin raised two children and enjoy following the sports and activities of their four grandchildren.

Other directors of the Aspirus Medford Foundation board include: Randy Juedes, chair and MMA ex-officio member; Luke Dixon, vice chair; Vicky Brost, secretary; Pat Krause, treasurer; Kris O’Leary, member at large; Courtney Graff; Janie Grunwald; Ann Harris and Mark Perrin.  

The Aspirus Medford Foundation’s mission is to support Aspirus Medford Hospital & Clinics. Funds raised here stay here. Over the past 10 years, the Foundation has purchased advanced medical technologies totaling over $850,000. Patients choosing to receive care at Aspirus Medford’s Birthing Center, Day Surgery, Kidney (dialysis) Center, Cancer & Infusion Services, Emergency Services, six family medicine clinics and other health services enjoy and reap the benefits of the advanced technology.
