Firefighters Raise $2,635 to Help Local Cancer Patients

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Wisconsin Rapids Firefighters Charitable Foundation recently donated $2,635.68 to the Aspirus Riverview Foundation’s cancer patient fund. The donation will be used to help patients of Aspirus UW Cancer Center who are in need of financial assistance with expenses related to their treatment.

The firefighters raised the money by selling t-shirts throughout September and October. Members of the Firefighters Charitable Foundation designed this year’s t-shirt, with plans to create a new design each year.

The mission of the newly established Wisconsin Rapids Firefighters Charitable Foundation is simple, yet powerful: To provide assistance to those in need throughout the community, whether it be due to injury, loss or hardship.
